For all of the creative kids entering grades 6th - 8th, this program is for you! Have you participated in a Creative Skills Program before? Do you really love art? Do you really love being a role model for younger kids? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this could be the program for you! Miss Holly & Miss Traci are welcoming tween-aged students into a leadership role for this summer; expectations will include:
- supporting the set up and clean up for projects
- modeling expected behavior
- co-leading games and activities
- having a positive mental attitude
- being open-minded and willing to try new things

Note:

Holly is trained as a mental health counselor and art therapist. She holds a master’s degree in clinical counseling and art therapy and is credentialed with the art therapy board. She currently provides therapeutic services to children and families through Mountain Heart Wellness located in Amherst NH and collaborates with the Amherst NH Recreation department to provide various programs. She has been working as an art therapist and mental health counselor with children and families over the past 20 years. Holly values the use of the arts as a therapeutic tool to support children's emotional growth and development while promoting individual expression and social experiences through the fun of creativity!
Traci Cote is a trained school psychologist (MS/CAGS) who has worked in the NH public school system for over a decade and the founder of Mountain Heart Wellness & Educational Consulting. She is a yoga teacher, mindfulness educator, wellness coach, and certified MBST instructor. Traci is passionate about elevating young people’s emotional literacy through mindfulness-based exercises.
Both Holly and Traci have enjoyed partnering with Amherst Recreation in a variety of ways including the Girls Empowerment Summer Camp and the Afterschool Art Studio Class at Wilkins Elementary.
